Job summary

Aezion, Inc. is seeking a passionate Sr. AI Engineer to join its AI Venture Studio in Bengaluru. You will work on cutting-edge AI technologies, building enterprise-grade AI products and reusable components across industries.

Collaborate with product owners and senior engineers, participate in Agile ceremonies, and contribute to model evaluation, deployment, and monitoring. Strong Python and ML fundamentals are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python with hands-on AI/ML development experience.
• Knowledge of NLP/LLMs, SLMs, and AI model deployment concepts.
• Strong fundamentals in OOP, DS&A, SQL, REST APIs, and Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-powered applications using Python and modern AI frameworks.
• Fine-tune domain-specific Small Language Models (SLMs) and build AI solutions.
• Create data pipelines, embeddings, and vector DBs for AI workloads.
• Develop REST APIs and reusable backend components using FastAPI.
• Deploy AI services using container technologies and maintain docs/experiments.

About the Role

We are looking for passionate and motivated AI Engineers to join our AI Venture Studio. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to work on cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence technologies and contribute to the development of proprietary AI products.

You will be trained to build enterprise-grade AI solutions, including domain-specific Small Language Models (SLMs), intelligent document processing, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications, AI-powered APIs, and enterprise automation solutions.

You will work alongside experienced architects and AI engineers to develop reusable AI components that can be applied across multiple industry verticals such as Construction, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Banking, Insurance, Retail, and Legal.

Key Responsibilities

AI Development

• Develop AI-powered applications using Python and modern AI frameworks.
• Assist in building and fine-tuning domain-specific Small Language Models (SLMs).
• Develop intelligent document processing and OCR solutions.
• Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications.
• Implement semantic search using vector databases.
• Develop AI inference APIs and microservices.

Data Engineering

• Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured datasets.
• Create data pipelines for AI model training.
• Perform data annotation and validation.
• Generate embeddings and maintain vector databases.

Software Engineering

• Develop REST APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Build reusable backend components.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and unit testing.

AI Platform

• Contribute to model evaluation and testing.
• Deploy AI services using container technologies.
• Support AI model monitoring and performance optimization.
• Maintain model documentation and experiment tracking.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Owners to understand business requirements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers.
