Job summary

Theomnihire seeks a Sr. AI Developer Engineer – Lead/Backend/Cloud to drive the engineering and operations of the SecureAI platform and shared backend services. You will provide technical direction and hands-on development across backend, cloud, and internal tooling.

You will collaborate with the CISO office, cloud platform teams, and security verticals to ensure production-grade, secure, and scalable AI-powered security services, owning the platform roadmap and enforcing engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of overall experience leading software development teams and architecting backend/cloud solutions.
• Educational background in CS/IT/AI/ML with a B.Tech or M.Tech.
• Cloud architecture certifications (AWS Solutions Architect – Professional or GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CEH, or SC-200.

Position Summary

The Sr. AI Developer Engineer – Lead/Backend/Cloud is a senior leadership role responsible for the engineering and operational delivery of the internal SecureAI platform, shared backend services, multi-cloud infrastructure, and the AppSec developer portal. This role leads the AI security engineering team by providing technical direction, architectural guidance, and hands-on development across backend, cloud, and internal tooling. Working closely with the CISO office, cloud platform teams, and security verticals (AppSec, DevSecOps, ArchSec), the Lead will set engineering standards, manage cloud environments, own the SecureAI platform roadmap, and ensure all AI-powered security services are production-grade, secure, and scalable.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture: Serve as the technical lead for Application Security, providing architectural guidance, system design reviews, and engineering standards across all security verticals.

Sprint & Delivery Management: Lead sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and delivery management for the team to ensure the on-time, high-quality delivery of platform features and AI security capabilities.

Mentorship & Quality Control: Conduct structured code reviews, mentor junior and mid-level AI developers, and foster a culture of engineering excellence through robust documentation, strict testing standards, and CI/CD discipline.

Platform Roadmap Ownership: Define and maintain the technical roadmap for the internal SecureAI platform and AppSec developer portal in strict alignment with CISO strategy and business priorities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary technical liaison connecting the AI security engineering team with cloud platform, infrastructure, GRC, and business application teams.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Experience: 6–8 years of overall experience with a strong background in leading software development teams, architecting backend/cloud solutions, and building enterprise-grade platform tooling.

Educational Background: B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, AI/ML, or a related field.

Cloud & Architecture Certifications:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or GCP Professional Cloud Architect.

Security & Specialized Certifications: CISSP, CCSP, CEH, or SC-200 (Microsoft Security Operations Analyst).

Platform & Infrastructure Expertise:

Demonstrated experience building and operating internal developer platforms or security portals at enterprise scale.

Hands-on experience with API gateway and service mesh technologies (Kong, Apigee, Istio mTLS).

Familiarity with SIEM/SOAR platforms (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, IBM QRadar) and their integration APIs.
