The HR Analytics team enables data-driven decision-making across the Human Resources function through trusted data products, workforce analytics, reporting, and governance. As a Senior Advanced Analytics Analyst, you will serve as the critical link between HR stakeholders and technical data teams, translating business needs into scalable data, reporting, and analytics solutions that support Medtronic's digital and AI transformation. Partnering with Human Resources Centers of Excellence, Data Engineering, Data Architecture, and Business Intelligence teams, you will help deliver trusted workforce data products that enable informed decision-making across Human Resources and the broader business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining business consulting, data analysis, data governance, and stakeholder engagement to drive impactful analytics outcomes.
Partner with HR stakeholders to define reporting, workforce metrics, and analytics requirements.
Translate business questions into clear functional and technical specifications.
Advise stakeholders on metric definitions, data availability, and appropriate data usage.
Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements for HR data and reporting initiatives.
Define requirements for HR data integration from source systems into enterprise data warehouse environments.
Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Architecture teams to design scalable reporting datasets and analytics solutions.
Ensure business requirements align with technical data models and reporting structures.
Support the development of enterprise reporting and analytics capabilities.
Perform end-to-end testing and validation of HR data pipelines and reporting solutions.
Investigate and resolve data quality issues across source systems, warehouse environments, and reporting layers.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
Monitor data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across analytics products.
Serve as a subject matter expert on HR data, metrics, and reporting assets.
Maintain documentation for data definitions, business rules, lineage, and refresh schedules.
Promote data governance, data quality standards, and consistent metric usage across reporting products.
Support data stewardship and governance initiatives within the HR data ecosystem.
