Role Overview

We are seeking a professional Sr. Accountant who will lead the Finance functions end-to-end.

This role requires deep involvement in day-to-day accounting operations, compliance, audits, taxation, and team leadership – ensuring strong financial discipline and statutory accuracy across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Team Leadership
  • Lead, manage and mentor the Accounts team.
  • Allocate responsibilities and ensure accuracy of work.
  • Build SOPs, internal controls and reporting structures.
  • Drive accountability, timelines and compliance culture.
  • Oversee daily bookkeeping, ledger management and journal entries.
  • Ensure accurate recording of sales, purchases, expenses, inventory and fixed assets.
  • Maintain accounting discipline as per applicable accounting standards.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
  • Prepare and review MIS, financial statements and variance analysis.
  • Ensure timely submission of management reports.
  • Ensure timely filing of TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESIC and other statutory compliances.
  • Monitor tax notices, assessments and departmental communications.
  • Ensure compliance with Companies Act, ROC filings and statutory deadlines.
  • Lead internal audits, monthly audits and statutory audits.
  • Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
  • Implement internal controls to prevent financial risks and leakages.
  • Manage banking operations, payments, collections and reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital and vendor/customer settlements.
  • Oversee credit control and receivables management.
Financial Governance & Risk
  • Ensure strong financial discipline and documentation.
  • Maintain proper records for audits, tax and regulatory inspections.
Qualifications & Experience
  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; MSc/MBA (Finance) is a plus.
  • 9-10 years of experience in Accounts, Compliance & Finance Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of GST, Income Tax, ROC, audits and statutory compliances.
  • Proven experience in leading accounts teams.
  • Experience in manufacturing, retail, FMCG, D2C or trading preferred.
  • Expertise in MS-Excel and ERP software’s such as Busy and Catpro.
