Drive Zero Defect Culture within the SQM organization.
Ensure Best in Class \"consistent and sustainable\" supplier quality performance to support perfect launches and no spills
Areas of responsibility / Main Tasks:
Responsible to lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the Supplier Quality Function for Category supplier base in India and Asia.
Perform and follow up VDA 6.3 audits with Suppliers, the assessment and introduction of potential new suppliers in close cooperation with BU Supplier Management, Category Management, Business Unit R&D and Procurement.
Maintain the Global Category Supplier Panel for the region aligned with the Procurement Category Strategy.
Support the Definition and implementation of category specific quality standards.
Support Plant Supplier Quality (SQM CI/SP) in case of escalation for respective categories within the SQM organization, internally external as required.
Initiate and manage supplier improvement programs with Supplier’s top Management and change management for running production components.
Support the BU/ Plant SQM Teams in activities such as Supplier Maturity Evaluation, Design review with R&D, Supplier Component Review, Sourcing decision, APQP, Run@rate, PPAP for components on the assigned category.
Escalation Management on worldwide basis, Preparation and performing Management meetings with suppliers, e.g., Red Alerts
Drive Lessons Learned & Read Across items to avoid recurrences at/and across suppliers.
Review of sourcing documentation and preparation for team decision
Work in international and multi-disciplinary teams including e.g. Procurement, Engineering, Project Management, local SQM departments, Customer Quality and Logistic
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferred metal material, metal forming
Extensive knowledge of AIAG requirements, Quality Tools & Lean Manufacturing (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, ISO 14001, Six Sigma, 8D management & SPC).
Rich experiences in continuous improvement, industrial engineering, production and escalation management.
Communication skills, including Presentation and Negotiation techniques.
Advanced English (Fluent, written and spoken), ready for technical discussions and negotiations with suppliers, work effectively in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams.
Computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, Minitab or equivalent, Visio)
Willingness to travel in Domestic and International from working time.
