Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Senior MS SQL/T-SQL Developer in Kerala to design, optimize, and support complex database solutions across production systems, with emphasis on performance and reliability.

You will work with Python automation, develop stored procedures and dynamic SQL, and collaborate with application teams to ensure scalable, robust data services. Weekend support may be required.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years of hands-on MS SQL Server experience and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4 to 6 years of MS SQL Server/T-SQL development and production support.
• Experience with Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, and Python automation.
• Experience with SQL Server Agent Jobs and production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Develop and support complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and Dynamic SQL.
• Perform SQL Server Performance Tuning and Query Optimization.
• Analyze execution plans, indexing strategies, statistics, and workloads to identify bottlenecks.
• Create, schedule, monitor, and maintain SQL Server Agent Jobs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues across environments.
• Develop automation and support scripts using Python.
• Collaborate with application teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
• Provide production support and participate in weekend activities when required.

SQL Database, T-SQL Developer Position: SQL Developer Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled MS SQL Developer with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server , T-SQL , SQL Server Performance Tuning and Python .

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server .
• Develop and support complex T-SQL queries , stored procedures , functions , views , triggers , and Dynamic SQL .
• Perform SQL Server Performance Tuning and Query Optimization to improve database and application performance.
• Analyze execution plans , indexing strategies , statistics , and database workloads to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Create, schedule, monitor, and maintain SQL Server Agent Jobs .
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues across development , testing , and production environments.
• Develop automation and support scripts using Python .
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions for recurring database issues.
• Collaborate with application teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable database solutions.
• Support database deployments, maintenance activities, and production releases.
• Participate in weekend support activities when required.

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server .

• Extensive experience working with complex queries , stored procedures , functions , triggers , and Dynamic SQL .
• Good knowledge of creating, scheduling, monitoring, and maintaining SQL Server Agent Jobs .
• Experience with Python scripting for automation, data processing, and support activities.
• Strong debugging , troubleshooting , and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of database design principles , indexing , and SQL Server best practices .
• Experience supporting production environments and critical business applications .

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science , Information Technology , Engineering , or a related field.
• Microsoft SQL Server Certifications are an added advantage.
