Loadit Supply Services Pvt Ltd. is seeking a Database Migration Specialist to consolidate data into a scalable SQL database. You will assess sources (APIs, CSVs, Google Sheets), design a unified schema, migrate historical data, and build automated ingestion pipelines for ongoing updates.
You will ensure secure access, performance tuning, and seamless integration with existing applications and dashboards, with minimal downtime.
We currently maintain our operational data across multiple sources, including APIs, CSV files, and Google Sheets. We want to consolidate this data into a single, reliable SQL-based RDBMS to improve performance, scalability, data integrity, security, and integration with our existing applications and reporting tools.
We are looking for an experienced database engineer to assess our current data, design the database, migrate our historical data, and set up ongoing ingestion so new data keeps flowing in from all sources.
Analyze all current data sources (APIs, CSV files, and Google Sheets), including structure, columns, data types, relationships, formulas, update frequency, and dependencies.
Identify duplicate records, missing values, inconsistent formats, and other data-quality issues.
Document the business logic and workflows that depend on each source.
Recommend a suitable SQL platform (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Google Cloud SQL).
Design a unified schema with tables, primary and foreign keys, constraints, indexes, and relationships.
Create staging tables for each source and normalized final tables.
Track data lineage with source-system and import-timestamp fields.
Migrate historical data from all sources into the new database.
Preserve existing records, relationships, data types, and business rules.
Build repeatable, scheduled pipelines for ongoing API pulls and CSV imports.
Handle deduplication and records that appear in more than one source.
Validate record counts and data accuracy after migration.
Implement backup and rollback plans to prevent data loss.
Update existing applications, Google Apps Script projects, APIs, dashboards, and reports to use the new database.
Replace direct Google Sheets and file-based read/write operations with database queries or API-based access where applicable.
Ensure existing workflows continue to work after migration.
Configure database users, roles, permissions, and secure connections.
Optimize queries and indexes.
Set up backup, recovery, and monitoring procedures.
Perform data validation, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
Document the schema, migration steps, ingestion pipelines, connection configuration, and maintenance procedures.
Provide support during deployment and post-migration troubleshooting.
Strong SQL and relational database design experience.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience migrating data from Google Sheets, CSV files, and APIs into SQL databases.
Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines (Python preferred).
Knowledge of the Google Sheets API and Google Apps Script.
Experience integrating databases with APIs and existing applications.
Understanding of data validation, indexing, query optimization, and database security.
Experience with cloud databases such as Google Cloud SQL is preferred.
Recommended database platform and architecture.
Properly designed and normalized SQL schema.
Complete migration of all existing data from APIs, CSV files, and Google Sheets.
Automated ingestion pipelines for ongoing data updates.
Updated application integrations and workflows.
Data validation and migration testing report.
Database documentation, plus backup and rollback procedures.
Migrate and consolidate our data into a scalable, secure, and reliable SQL database with minimal downtime and no data loss, while keeping existing business operations running without disruption.
We are looking for an experienced Database Migration Specialist with strong SQL and RDBMS knowledge. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in database design, data migration, and integration of data from APIs, CSV files, and Google Sheets into SQL databases.
Candidates should have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to complete database migration with minimal downtime and no data loss.
