Job Description

Job description: As a Supplier Performance Management Analyst, you will provide data, analysis and workflow support to improve supplier performance across bp's global Asset Management supplier portfolio. Reporting to the Supplier Performance Management Delivery Lead and operating as part of a global BTC SPM team supporting in-market stakeholders, you will produce supplier scorecards and insights, monitor performance and exceptions, support governance activities and implement standardised SPM workflows, and contribute to supplier segmentation and performance improvement initiatives, with the level of BTC support varying by supplier tier. You will also support the development of supplier contingency plans and help ensure consistent supplier performance across the portfolio. Support will range from analytical and governance activities for strategic suppliers to more end-to-end monitoring, workflow execution and exception management for moderate and tail suppliers.

What You Will Deliver

Produce accurate supplier Key performance indicators reports, scorecards and dashboards, validating performance data and monitoring supplier performance against agreed KPI's and SLAs through analysis of approved performance dashboards, CMMS data, supplier portals and other maintenance / supplier-performance applications.

  • Support strategic supplier governance through QBR packs, supplier analytics, audit preparation, corrective-action tracking and performance follow-up.
  • Implement standardised performance management for suppliers, monitoring results, identifying exceptions and providing clear insight to market supplier owners.
  • Manage assigned workflows, including onboarding/offboarding, supporting Contractor Due Diligence through evidence collection, standardised diligence checks, coordination with suppliers and business collaborators, data validation, monitoring, exception triage and advancing when defined market-intervention triggers are met.
  • Trends and recurring issues to identify performance risks, improvement opportunities and potential rationalisation candidates.
  • Maintain supplier issue and corrective-action records, ensuring evidence, status and closure information are complete, current and auditable.
  • Support supplier segmentation and re-tiering by maintaining relevant supplier data, applying approved tiering criteria and documented market-specific policy, compliance and regulatory requirements where relevant, and identifying cases requiring review or exception handling.
  • Support supplier governance activities and performance reviews through preparation of performance materials, action tracking, follow-up activities and defined supplier engagement where required.
  • Improve SPM delivery by resolving data-quality issues and seeing opportunities to standardise or automate recurring analytical and workflow activities.
What You Will Need To Be Successful
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Analytics or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Supplier Performance Management, Procurement, Supplier/Vendor Management, Supply Chain, Contract Management or operational analytics.
  • Working knowledge of supplier critical metrics, SLAs, scorecards, performance reporting and corrective-action management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with experience working with large data sets to identify trends, exceptions and root causes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI or equivalent dashboarding/reporting tools.
  • Strong attention to data quality, accuracy and process rigor, including issue and action tracking.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder-management skills; experience supporting multiple markets, geographies or a shared-services environment is preferred.
  • Experience in process improvement, standardisation or automation is desirable; exposure to an asset-intensive, maintenance, facilities, construction or industrial-services environment is preferred.
