Responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining optical fiber cables. They use specialized tools to fuse fiber strands together, ensuring high-speed internet and telecommunications networks are functioning properly.

• Prepare fiber cables and use fusion splicers (e.g., core alignment machines) to join fibers.
• Operate advanced testing equipment like OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) to verify signal loss, locate cable faults, and ensure reliable service.
