Job summary

AT&T in Bengaluru is seeking a platform engineering professional to build and deploy CI/CD pipelines delivering scalable platform services and automation. You will design web UIs and secure APIs to enable self-service operations and event-driven workflows.

The role emphasizes Infrastructure as Code with Azure and Bicep, strong observability, and collaboration with security and operations to reduce toil and MTTR. Offshore, 40 hours per week, U.S. collaboration required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering.
• CI/CD pipelines: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions for apps, automation, and IaC.
• Programming with Python (Django), PowerShell, Bash on Linux for automation.
• Azure Cloud: hands-on deployment and operation of cloud services.
• DevOps fundamentals: Git workflows, code reviews, automated testing, version management.
• Operations at scale: automated, idempotent, observable automation.
• API development for operational workflows.
• Experience with RBAC and Azure Key Vault for secrets management.
• Familiarity with containers/Kubernetes and platform service automation.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop Web Uis and APIsand that enable self-service operations and event-driven workflows for platform management.

• Embed observability and reliabilityinto automation (logging, metrics, pre/post-checks), enabling proactive operations.

Job Qualifications / Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience.
• CI/CD Pipelines:Building and maintaining pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) for apps, automation, and IaC.
• Programming & Scripting:Python(primary),Django,PowershellandBashonLinuxfor automation and tooling.
• Azure Cloud:Hands-on experience deploying and operating services on cloud environments such as Azure\
• DevOps Fundamentals:Git, branching strategies, code reviews, automated testing, artifact/version management, and release strategies.
• Operations at Scale:Building automation that is idempotent, resilient, auditable, and observable.
• API Development:Designing and implementing robust, secure APIs for operational workflows.
• Experience with RBAC, policy enforcement, andAzure Key Vaultfor secrets management.
• Familiarity with containers/Kubernetes and how automation integrates with platform services (helpful but not required).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing self-service operational tools, dashboards, web UIs, or internal portals using Python/Django or comparable frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure‑native automation, including Bicep modules, Azure DevOps pipelines, Azure Key Vault, RBAC, policies, and deployment guardrails.
• Practical experience building event‑driven automation, APIs, CLIs, or Git‑backed workflows that convert operational runbooks into reusable services.
• Familiarity with observability practices, including structured logging, metrics, health checks, pre/post‑validation, and operational dashboards.
• Experience supporting cloud or network platform operations at scale, with focus on reliability, auditability, security, and reduction of manual operational toil.
• Exposure to containers, Kubernetes, platform services, and automation integration across hybrid cloud or telecom network environments.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with platform engineering, security, operations, and external partner teams to deliver secure and production‑ready automation.

Additional Job Information

This is an offshore role that requires daily collaboration with U.S. stakeholders, including overlapping work hours to ensure effective partnership and meet business needs.
