Charles Schwab is expanding its India presence in Hyderabad and seeking a skilled Java Developer. You will build secure Java-based systems, adhere to architecture standards, and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable software. The role emphasizes high-quality, testable code and continuous improvement, including AI-enabled workflows.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of experience with J2EE, Spring, REST, and SQL/NoSQL, plus Agile skills and a focus on security, performance, and scalability.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of work experience or a bachelor’s degree with 2+ years’ experience.
• Experience with Java 17, Spring (Boot/Data/Batch) and Splunk/DataDog.
• SQL/NoSQL (Oracle, MongoDB) experience and RESTful APIs.

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to build and maintain secure Java based systems that support our critical business functions. The ideal candidate delivers high quality, efficient, and testable code while adhering to established architectural standards. This role is well suited for someone who demonstrates strong technical expertise, a commitment to continuous improvement with AI tools, and the ability to collaborate across teams.

What you have

Required Qualifications

• 2-4 years of work experience or bachelor’s degree with 2+ years' experience
• 2 years of Application development experience with J2EE (Java 17 preferred), Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Batch), Splunk/DataDog
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL (Oracle, MongoDB 5.0 etc.)
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and integration patterns (RabbitMQ, KAFKA)
• Experience with Unit Testing Framework (Junit)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience in a Scaled Agile environment
• Understands security, scaling, performance, and availability concerns.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with cloud native development, or containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with continuous build process using GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Jenkins
• Familiarity with performance engineering, monitoring, and related tooling (e.g., AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, PCF metrics).
• Experience with modern development practices such as test-driven (TDD) or behavior driven development (BDD)
• Familiarity with test frameworks like Cucumber, Selenium.
