Job summary

FLX ONE Cargo is seeking a senior hands-on engineer to build and scale the shared platform foundations that power Cargo engineering teams. This role combines software development, platform engineering, architecture contributions, and technical leadership.

The ideal candidate will design reusable services, cloud-native solutions, and scalable frameworks while driving engineering best practices across teams. Prior Airline Cargo domain experience is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Mandatory Airline Cargo domain experience with cargo operations and airline systems.
• 6+ years of C++ development experience.
• 4+ years of .NET development experience.
• 2+ years of .NET Core experience.
• 5+ years of AWS or another major cloud platform experience.
• 8+ years of experience with RDBMS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• 1+ year of AIDLC experience (mandatory).
• 1+ year of experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain shared platform services, libraries, and reusable components.
• Build cloud-native foundations, deployment patterns, observability, and operational tooling.
• Drive technical design discussions and implement architectural standards.
• Own complex technical challenges from design through production support.
• Conduct code reviews, establish engineering best practices, and mentor team members.
• Support CI/CD, infrastructure automation, monitoring, reliability, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams.
