Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group Ltd. in India seeks a Specialist, Investment Data Management to join the Investment Data & Analytics team. The IDM group ensures data accuracy and governance for global securities and supports front, middle and back office functions.

You will own data processes, work with investment managers, traders and compliance, and drive improvements with strong SQL and Excel skills. A hybrid work model and a focus on data quality are key for this role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
• Enrolment or completion of CFA/FRM is an asset.
• Experience with securities data and data quality is desired.
• Ability to analyze and resolve data issues with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and maintain high‑quality investment data across global security types.
• Own data processes and resolve data issues while supporting process improvements.
• Collaborate with investment managers, traders, portfolio managers, compliance, and tech teams.

We are looking for aSpecialist, Investment Data Management to join our Investment Data & Analytics team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic strategic team whose scope and importance continue to grow. The IDA Department, within CCLFG’s Investment Operations Group, supports industry standards and customized analytics in addition to data. We support pre-trade analysis, modeling, trading, compliance, as well as post-trade performance, attribution, client reporting, sales reporting, and custom analytics. The Investment Data Management (IDM) Team, part of the Investment Data and Analytics (IDA) group resides within the middle office and is responsible for managing data centric processes and data quality that supports the investment management business. The team ensures that daily and historical data is accurate, data delivery processes are successful, and comply with overall data governance. IDM is a key thought‑leader in driving data management maturity at Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group (CCLFG). CCLFG manages a wide range of global assets and heavily relies on the output of the IDM for a variety of functions from the front office to back office. Work Timings: AM Shift (6:30 AM – 3:30 PM) or PM Shift (1:30 PM – 10:30 PM)

What you will do:

Work at the intersection of business operations and systems technology to create, manage, and maintain high‑quality investment data across a wide range of global security types.

Own and oversee data processes, proactively investigating and resolving data issues while supporting continuous process improvement and ad‑hoc problem solving

Act as a process owner collaborating with global investment managers, traders, portfolio managers, compliance, technology, and middle‑/back‑office teams

Leverage strong analytical skills and attention to detail to work with databases and business applications, write business requirements, and support testing and implementation of system enhancement

Maintain and validate fixed‑income, equity and derivatives reference and pricing data across multiple systems and databases with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Prioritize, monitor, and manage scheduled processes, ad‑hoc requests, and projects in collaboration with multiple business partners to support analytic, investing, and portfolio management functions

Analyze exception reports and follow‑up to ensure timely resolution

Identify, develop, and implement scalable improvements to support ever‑changing requirements

Support process improvements to increase efficiency, mitigate risk, and increase the level of service provided to stakeholders

Support continuousdataquality improvements (policy, procedures, processes, audits)

Support the Seniors and Manager on a variety of ad hoc tasks and digital transformation projects.

What you bring:

• Education– You have a degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Completion or enrollment in a relevant designation, such as the CFA or FRM, is an asset
• Industry Knowledge– 1-3 years of experience in the investment management industry with exposure to securities data, data quality and process management. Hands‑on experience working with Bloomberg, FTSE, ICE Bond Edge, Charles River and related financial tools, platforms is an asset.
• Problem Solver– You possess an analytical mindset and able to break down complex processes into components to logically deduce the root cause of issues
• Collaborative– You have a collaborative spirit that helps you to work well with others and you communicate effectively

• Technical / Database Knowledge– You can perform data analysis using intermediate Excel skills and basic SQL knowledge to query and interpret complex datasets effectively.
