Job summary

Danfoss in Chennai is seeking an SAP IBP Inventory Specialist to optimize inventory across a global supply chain. You will combine SAP IBP Inventory Optimization with OBP to improve service levels, product availability, and working capital.

You’ll design scalable planning solutions, configure models, master data, key figures, and planning operators, and enable better decisions through KPI monitoring, training, and scenario analysis. This hybrid role offers global exposure and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with SAP IBP for Inventory / Inventory Optimization.
• Experience with SAP IBP OBP and understanding of link to executable supply plans.
• Knowledge of SAP IBP Response & Supply, inventory planning, and end-to-end supply chain processes.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration and supply chain master data.
• Experience delivering SAP IBP implementations, rollout, or enhancements in a planning environment.

As an SAP IBP Inventory Specialist, you will help shape how inventory is optimized across a global supply chain network. Your expertise will support smarter inventory decisions that balance customer service, product availability, working capital, and operational efficiency.

You will play a key role in developing and enhancing SAP IBP Inventory Optimization capabilities while ensuring inventory strategies are closely connected to supply planning and operational execution. By combining inventory optimization with SAP IBP Order-Based Planning (OBP), you will help create more resilient and responsive planning processes.

Working with global stakeholders across supply chain, operations, and technology teams, you will contribute to planning solutions that enable better decisions, improved business performance, and greater value for customers.

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience with SAP IBP for Inventory / Inventory Optimization, including configuration and planning process design.
• Practical experience working with SAP IBP Order-Based Planning (OBP) and an understanding of how inventory targets connect with executable supply plans.
• Knowledge of SAP IBP Response & Supply, inventory planning, and end-to-end supply chain processes across Demand, Supply, Inventory, S&OP/S&OE, and execution.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration and supply chain master and transactional data.
• Experience supporting or delivering SAP IBP implementation, rollout, enhancement, or transformation initiatives in a planning environment.
