What you have

This role is an excellent opportunity to launch or advance a career in enterprise business intelligence, data analysis, and application automation. You will gain practical experience building Power BI and Tableau reporting solutions while developing skills in Power Apps, Power Automate, data modeling, and SQL.

Role Description

Working alongside experienced developers and engineers, you will learn how business needs are translated into trusted data products and efficient digital workflows. You will contribute to real business outcomes through dashboard development, data validation, application enhancements, automation, documentation, and production support. The position offers a structured path for developing deeper technical expertise, increasing delivery independence, and progressing within the BI engineering career family.

Key Responsibilities

Support in the development and maintenance of Power BI reports, Tableau dashboards, Power Apps applications, and Power Automate workflows.

Analyze data using SQL to validate requirements, investigate discrepancies, identify trends, and support report development.

Develop SQL queries, calculated fields, report visuals, application components, and workflow steps under the guidance of senior team members.

Execute documented unit tests, data-reconciliation procedures, defect corrections, deployment steps, and routine production-support activities.

Manage assigned tasks by following development standards, maintaining documentation, communicating progress, and escalating blockers promptly.

Collaborate and learn through design sessions, code reviews, technical training, knowledge-sharing activities, and feedback from experienced engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to DAX (Power BI) or advanced Tableau calculated-field logic beyond the basics.
Familiarity with cloud data warehouses/platforms (e.g., Google BigQuery, Snowflake, SQL Server).
Exposure to data-prep/ETL tools such as Power Query or Alteryx.
Experience participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies using Jira and Confluence.
Basic understanding of data governance and security concepts (e.g., row-level security, access controls).
Exposure to connecting Power Automate flows with Power Apps and other Microsoft 365 services.
Coursework or certification in Power BI, Tableau, or SQL (e.g., Microsoft PL-300).
Interest in or exposure to BI modernization/migration efforts such as Tableau-to-Power BI conversion.
