Confidential is looking for a Risk Management professional to join their team in Chennai. Your main duties will involve overseeing post-sanction cases related to ABL, CLAP, and Gold Loans, while identifying quality issues and collaborating with stakeholders for credit process improvements.

Qualifications

  • 10 to 12 years of lending experience in underwriting and/or credit monitoring in the SME/MSME segment.
  • Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks in India.
  • Experience in analyzing Stock and Receivables Statements and credit covenants.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrating sound knowledge of SME/MSME segments, Loan against Properties, and Gold Loan segments.
  • Evaluating approved credit proposals for adherence to DOA/Credit Policies and guidelines.
  • Ensuring timely closure of identified gaps and issues and providing monthly MIS reports.

Job description

Role Overview

As a Risk Management professional in the bank's Risk Management Group, your primary focus will be on all post-sanction cases related to ABL, CLAP, and Gold Loans. You will be responsible for identifying and providing an overall view of the quality and shortcomings observed on borrowal accounts. Collaborating with relevant stakeholders, you will highlight gaps in credit processes and drive towards closure. Additionally, you will provide monthly MIS to Senior Management on observations and closure status.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrating a sound knowledge of SME/MSME segments, Loan against Properties, and Gold Loan segments
  • Understanding the legal and regulatory framework in India and applying it to daily functions
  • Evaluating approved credit proposals for adherence to DOA/Credit Policies and guidelines
  • Reviewing legal and valuation reports, Stock and Receivables Audit reports, Collateral Audit reports to ensure compliance and closure of conditions
  • Analyzing Stock and Receivables Statements, Insurance policies, and credit covenants
  • Interacting with collateral managers to resolve discrepancies in valuation reports
  • Maintaining records of observations and findings, providing structured feedback to business units
  • Ensuring timely closure of identified gaps and issues, providing monthly MIS reports to senior management
Qualifications
  • 10 to 12 years of lending experience in underwriting and/or credit monitoring in the SME/MSME segment
  • MBA/Chartered Accountant/Postgraduate qualifications with relevant work experience
  • Underwriting skills in SME and LAP products, strong analysis and evaluation skills, problem‑solving abilities
  • Knowledge of legal, valuation, and local practices, regulatory guidelines, and banking products
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with various functional units
Location & Work Details

The primary location for this role is at the Corporate Office in Chennai. This is a full‑time position in the Risk Management sector, with a regular schedule.
