Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Hyderabad seeks an experienced Agile Lead / Scrum Master to drive delivery excellence in a large, data-enabled software environment.

You will lead cross-functional teams, coach for autonomy, and partner with product owners and engineering leaders to optimize outcomes in a fast-changing, AI-enabled landscape. This role requires strong facilitation, a growth mindset, and the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/Engineering or related field.
• 3-7 years of experience as a Scrum Master in technology or data environments.
• Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent Agile certification.
• Practical experience applying Agile frameworks in complex delivery environments.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, conflict-resolution, and communication skills.
• Experience with globally distributed teams and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting data, analytics, reporting, automation, or AI-related initiatives.
• Familiarity with scaling frameworks and product operating models.

Role Overview

We are looking for an Agile Lead / Scrum Master who combines strong agile expertise with a growth mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups. • Drive initiatives that improve team effectiveness, collaboration, and delivery performance.
• Challenge inefficient processes and propose better approaches when needed.
• Create an environment where team members feel safe speaking openly, raising concerns, and sharing ideas.

Primary Skills (Must Have)

• Demonstrated use of AI-enabled tools, with an understanding of their practical and responsible application.
• Knowledge of scaling frameworks, product operating models, or outcome-based delivery approaches.
• Preferred Experience in a large enterprise or regulated industry such as healthcare, life sciences, finance, or pharmaceuticals.
