Qualifications

• Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or technology stream.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with AWS, Windows or Linux, any programming language and cloud security frameworks.
• Engineering experience with decision intelligence platforms such as PowerBI or other conversational BI.
• Operations Engineering: strong understanding of platform engineering, including error budgets, SLOs, and SLAs.
• DevOps: extensive experience with Git, IaC, observability, and CI/CD.
• Problem-Solving: diagnose and resolve complex distributed system issues.
• Scripting and Automation: Bash/PowerShell; Python/Java desirable.
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure or other public/private clouds.
• Operating Systems: Windows and Linux.
• Security: AWS professional certification or other relevant certifications.
• Platform Engineering Knowledge: cloud-native analytics on AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Data analytics methodologies and architecture patterns knowledge.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

As a specialist decision intelligence engineer, you will ensure that the applications and platforms are reliable, secure, and perform efficiently, while also driving modernization and continuous improvement efforts. You will collaborate closely with vendors and internal teams, utilizing automation and best practices to enhance application performance and align with business objectives. This position is vital for upholding high standards of application quality, compliance, and operational excellence.

What will you do in this role

• Gain a deep understanding of our system operations, scalability, interactions, and failures to identify improvement opportunities and risks.
• Use software engineering and solution architecture best practices to create tools and automation that reduce operational overhead and eliminate manual tasks.
• Establish frameworks, processes, and standard methodologies to enhance operational maturity, team efficiency, and accelerate innovation.
• Define meaningful and actionable reliability metrics to track and improve system and service reliability.
• Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems
• Collaborate with practitioners to drive adoption of the Technology Engineering practice roadmap within the products where you work.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers to mature their practice and create a pipeline of community leadership talent.

• Coordinate geographically distributed teams in support of platform engineering activities; automation, upgrade and patch coordination, platform administration guidance, monitoring, troubleshooting and performance analysis.
• Write technical documentation including, but not limited to configuration artifacts, infrastructure/technical diagrams, installation qualification and validation documentation.
• Effectively engage, both in person and virtually, with a global, multi-cultural team across different products to identify and leverage synergies.

What should you have

Primary Skill: Power BI, Spotfire, Thoughtspot ,ASW,GIT and Python

• Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any Technology stream.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience working with technologies – AWS platform, Windows or Linux, any programming language and cloud security frameworks
• Engineering experience with decision intelligence platforms such as PowerBI or other conversational BI.
• Operations Engineering: Strong understanding of platform engineering principles, including error budgets, SLOs, and SLAs.
• DevOps practices: Extensive experience with Git, infrastructure as code (IaC), observability, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
• Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex distributed system issues.
• Scripting and Automation: Skills in scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell. Experience with other programming languages (Python, Java) is desired.
• Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in AWS, Azure or other public or private cloud platforms.
• Operating Systems: Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Certification: Ideally AWS professional certified or other relevant industry certifications
• Security Best Practices: Experience with cloud security frameworks and compliance.
• Platform Engineering Knowledge: Maintain cloud-native analytics platforms on AWS/GCP/Azure.
• General working knowledge of data analytics methodologies and the technical landscape of data platforms, including architecture patterns, tools and managed services
