Job summary

Idexcel requires an SP3D Checker for Vadodara with 8+ years of experience in piping design. The role involves inspecting Modeler/Detailer work, performing clash checks, and generating reports to resolve comments. You will coordinate with stress analysis, model pipe supports, and ensure BOM/MTO validity.

Candidates should have BE/BTech/Diploma in mechanical engineering and strong AutoCAD familiarity. Site-based position in Vadodara, India.

Qualifications

• Must have SP3D as Checker.
• Experience in piping design, pipe routing, equipment modeling.
• Knowledge of isometrics, detailing and MTO/BOQ/EBOM validation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work of Modeler and Detailer.
• Review clash checks and generate clash reports for comment resolution.
• Generate inputs from 3D model for stress analysis and coordinate with stress analysis team.
• Model pipe supports in SP3D per stress analysis output.
• Perform isometric extraction and deliverable checks.
• Collaborate with Process, Layout, Structure, and Electrical groups for inputs.
• Prepare and maintain design calculations, MTOs, and BOMs.
• Ensure design changes are properly followed and drawings updated.
• Conduct self-checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in piping design.

Role & responsibilities

Job Title - SP3D Checker for Vadodara

Years of Exp 8 + years

Qualification – BE / B Tech / Diploma

Work location – Vadodara

Must have – SP3D ( as Checker ) . Checking of Modeler , Detailer . Some Auto CAD experience is must .

Checker inspects the work of Modeler , Detailer .

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Piping Design, or related field.
• Must have 8 + years of professional experience in Piping Design, Pipe Routing, Equipment Modeling, experience on Critical Lines, Isometrics & Detailing.
• Review clash check / review using SPR. Generating clash check reports for comment resolution.
• Generation of inputs from 3D model for stress analysis. Interact with stress analysis team for optimization of routing with sufficient flexibility and support feasibility for an optimized routing.
• Pipe Support modelling in SP3D as per stress analysis output.
• Experience in isometric extraction, MTO/BOQ/EBOM validation, and deliverable checks.
• Work closely with other Engineering group like Process, Layout, Structure, Pressure Part & electrical etc. for receiving various inputs required for developing clash-free piping designs.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including design calculations, material take-offs (MTO), and bill of materials (BOM).
• Ensure all design changes and revisions are properly followed and Drawings are updated.
• Perform self-checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of designs.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in piping design.
