Job summary

Indorama Ventures is seeking an IT Audit professional to join the Global SOX Compliance team in Kolkata, India, to execute ITGC/ITAC testing and control remediation across the organization.

The role requires 3–5 years in IT audit, CA/CISA, and ability to overlap 3–4 hours daily with US time zones, with strong communication skills and a focus on regulatory standards such as SOX and PCAOB.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years IT audit experience in multinational or regulated environment.
• Professional certification (CA or CISA) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of SOX and PCAOB auditing standards.
• Understanding of Financial Reporting, Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, etc.
• Willingness to overlap 3–4 hours daily with US time zones.
• Able to perform ITGC/ITAC testing independently.
• Experience with manufacturing or US stakeholders desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Commitment to learning and development.

The Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Kolkata, India supports worldwide operations through centralized IT, Finance and business process services.

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced IT Audit professional to join our Global SOX Compliance team to execute technology-focused audits across our organization (Indovinya’s) IT environment. The role requires hands‑on involvement in ITGC and ITAC control testing, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure compliance with SOX and other regulatory standards.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure controls.
• Implement the annual IT audit plan aligned with organizational risk priorities.
• Perform risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support SOX IT general controls (ITGC) and application controls testing and remediation activities.
• Prepare and maintain testing workpapers in line with defined standards and quality benchmarks.
• Provide regular status updates to the Lead – SOX & Compliance on control testing progress.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of audit issues.
• Support preparation of quarterly presentations for the Audit Committee.

What We're Looking For

Educational Qualifications

Experience

• 3–5 years of relevant IT audit experience, preferably in a multinational or regulated environment.
• Professional certification (e.g., CA, CISA) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of the Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) Act and PCAOB auditing standards.
• Solid understanding of processes and controls related to Financial Reporting, Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Commodity Trading, Treasury, Tax, Plant & Equipment, Inventory, HR Payroll, etc.
• Willingness to overlap 3–4 hours daily with US time zones for cross-border communication.
• Ability to independently perform SOX ITGC/ITAC control testing.
• Prior experience in manufacturing concerns or working with US stakeholders is desirable.
• Effective written, verbal, and listening communication skills with the ability to interact across all organizational levels.
• Demonstrated commitment to personal learning and professional development.
