ThoughtSpot's Procurement team is in the middle of a meaningful transformation — centralizing intake, automating workflows, and building CFO-level visibility across spend. We're looking for a Sourcing Specialist who thrives in a fast-moving environment, brings sharp analytical instincts, and is excited to work with modern procurement tools including AI-assisted workflows.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role with cross-functional visibility across Finance, Legal, Security, and business stakeholders globally. You will independently manage a high-volume RFQ/PR pipeline, own vendor relationships across indirect categories (primarily SaaS), and play an active role in driving cost savings and process improvements. You'll be expected to hit the ground running — this role has real ownership from day one, not a ramp-heavy support position.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and prioritize a high-volume pipeline of RFQ and PR requests across indirect categories, with a primary focus on SaaS.
- Lead end-to-end RFP processes — scoping requirements with stakeholders, running competitive sourcing events, and driving to award.
- Ensure pipeline accuracy and SLA adherence; flag bottlenecks proactively to the Procurement Manager.
- Own end-to-end vendor lifecycle management — onboarding, performance tracking, and relationship maintenance.
- Maintain accurate vendor master data and ensure compliance with onboarding requirements (security assessments, NDAs, insurance).
- Support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with strategic vendors; over time, take ownership of QBR facilitation for your category.
- Manage contract renewals — track expiration calendars, initiate renewal conversations at least 90 days in advance, and coordinate with Legal and Finance.
Cost Optimization & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities — consolidation, competitive bids, right-sizing, and negotiation leverage.
- Support contract negotiations with data-backed positions; document savings achieved.
- Improve procurement process visibility through accurate reporting and spend tracking.
AI & Process Automation
- Leverage AI tools and automation to reduce manual effort across sourcing, vendor management, and reporting tasks.
- Build and maintain trackers and dashboards in Excel or Google Sheets; identify opportunities to automate repetitive workflows.
- Collaborate with the Procurement Manager on tool evaluations and chatbot/workflow improvements.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Management, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
- Proven track record in vendor negotiations, RFP management, and contract renewals.
- Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, formulas, and basic dashboarding.
- Basic familiarity with SQL or scripting (Python/JS) — enough to query data or automate a simple task.
- Analytical mindset with sharp attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across geographies.
- Exposure to AI tools or automation in a professional context.
- Experience with P2P or procurement platforms (Coupa, Zip, Procurify, or similar).
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands‑on experience with Coupa (P2P module, supplier portal, or reporting).
- Exposure to contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools or DocuSign.
- Experience building or improving procurement dashboards or automation projects.
- Background in operations, finance, or analytics.
