Job summary

Styli in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned Solution Engineer to architect and scale ecommerce platforms and marketplaces. You will design robust solutions that improve customer experiences, streamline operations, and enable growth at scale.

Strong hands-on experience with MERN stack and API design is required. You will own integrations, microservices, and cloud deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP), collaborating with product and UX teams, mentoring juniors, and delivering high-quality, scalable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in solution engineering, with ecommerce and marketplace platforms.
• Experience building or scaling multi-vendor marketplaces on Magento, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, Mirakl, or custom solutions.
• Strong proficiency in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) or similar frameworks.
• Advanced knowledge of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, with experience in third-party integrations (payments, shipping, marketing tools).
• Experience designing microservices and headless commerce solutions for marketplaces.
• Expertise in scaling high-traffic ecommerce systems, load balancing, caching, and database optimization.
• Proven experience deploying applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL and analytics integration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design: Analyze business requirements for ecommerce and marketplace platforms, translating them into scalable, robust technical solutions.
• Development: Design and implement features that support marketplace scalability, including multivendor capabilities, inventory management, and dynamic pricing models.
• Integration Expertise: Build and integrate APIs for third‑party services such as payment gateways, logistics providers, marketing tools, and seller management systems.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure high performance and availability of marketplace systems, including optimizing page load times, search functionality, and transaction processes.
• Scalability: Architect solutions to handle growing marketplace traffic, vendor onboarding, and product catalog expansion.
• Data Strategy: Work with large data sets, ensuring effective integration and processing of customer, vendor, and product data.
• Customer Experience: Collaborate with UX/UI teams to optimize customer and vendor journeys, including advanced search, personalization, and checkout flows.
