Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Azure application development projects, from requirements gathering to deployment assistance and support.
• Architect and design scalable cloud-native solutions using Azure services such as App Services, Functions, Kubernetes Service (AKS), Logic Apps, API Management, and more.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and junior consultants.
• Work with client stakeholders to assess current application architectures and modernize them for Azure.
• Implement DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or other tools.
• Ensure solutions follow best practices for security, scalability, and performance in Azure.
• Conduct code reviews, architectural assessments, and proof-of-concepts (PoCs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (cloud infrastructure, security, data, and operations) to ensure holistic solutions.
• Develop high-level solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications to guide customers through their cloud transformation journey.
• Propose effective cloud strategies to meet customer needs through workshops, training, and advisory services.
• Lead the architecture and design of complex cloud solutions, leveraging Microsoft Azure services and ensuring alignment with industry best practices and security standards.
• Collaborate closely with customers and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures.
• Provide thought leadership and technical expertise in Microsoft Azure, staying up to date with the latest advancements and recommending innovative solutions for clients.
• Assess existing IT environments, applications, and infrastructure to identify opportunities for cloud adoption and migration to Azure.
• Lead and participate in the implementation and migration of cloud solutions, providing technical guidance to development teams and ensuring successful execution.
• Perform cost optimization assessments and recommend solutions to optimize cloud spend without compromising performance and security.
• Implement security best practices, data protection mechanisms, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure the resilience of cloud-based systems.
• Serve as an in-house technical expert, helping customers increase their consumption by providing advisory services.
• Inspire customers by communicating complex concepts in a simple, business-value context with proven white‑boarding capabilities.
• Be a self‑starter who takes ownership of opportunities, works independently, manages multiple simultaneous tasks, and adapts well to ambiguity and last‑minute changes.
• Maintain technical excellence with emerging technologies, including competitive and evolving platforms, while managing customer opportunities.
• Focus on high‑level functions and capabilities necessary to help customers leverage new Azure features and functionalities.
• Track customer requirements and deliver solutions within time‑bound scenarios.
• Work flexibly across different time zones.
• Develop client relationships quickly, establish trust, and ensure that client/partner expectations are set and met.
• Provide training and documentation feedback, updating role documentation as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical Advisor/ Specialist familiar and confident with the workloads and certifications listed below.
• Minimum 8+ years of industry or related technical consulting experience.
• At least 3+ years architecting and developing applications on Azure using PaaS services such as App Service, Azure Functions, Container Apps, API Management, and Azure Cosmos DB.
• Experience scaling applications on Azure to manage production workloads, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Proven record designing and implementing secure applications, including identity management (Azure AD, OAuth, etc.) and data protection strategies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
• Solid knowledge of Azure database services like Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, and Azure Blob Storage.
• Experience integrating LLMs into applications, e.g., using Azure OpenAI Service, is a plus.
• Certifications: AZ‑204 (mandatory), DP‑300, AZ‑400 as applicable, and other relevant Azure certifications.

Soft Skills

• Ability to engage in deep technical conversations with enterprise architects, development teams, and stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English.
• Polished interaction with customers and Microsoft Azure development teams at appropriate technical depth.
