Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Solution Architect to join our team, with a solid background in enterprise-scale application development and architecture. This is a hybrid role with a 60% hands-on technical focus and 40% leadership responsibilities, ideal for someone who has grown from a developer to an architect and is passionate about driving innovation in the finance domain. Exposure to AI/ML technologies is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and implement scalable, secure, and robust end-to-end solutions on cloud platforms (GCP) using Java Fullstack technologies.
• Take ownership of the architecture, design decisions, and technical governance of projects in the finance/BFSI space.
• Lead development efforts hands-on, especially during critical phases of the SDLC.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, product owners, and developers to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Create and review architecture artifacts (HLD/LLD, sequence diagrams, data flows, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with cloud security best practices, governance, and regulatory standards relevant to financial services.
• Provide technical mentorship to development teams and conduct code/design reviews.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, especially around cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP), AI, and the full Java ecosystem.
• Translate AI solution requirements (if any) into viable integrations within the platform.

Technical Skills Required:

Core:

• Strong experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices
• Expertise in cloud services:
• AWS/GCP (optional): Equivalent services such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Cloud SQL, Secret Manager, Pub/Sub, etc.
• RESTful APIs, JSON, OAuth2/OpenID Connect
• DevOps practices: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (ARM/Bicep for Azure; CloudFormation/Terraform for AWS/GCP), YAML pipelines
• Cloud-native and event-driven architecture

Added Advantage:

• Exposure to RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), LLMs, or other AI concepts

Knowledge of regulatory/compliance needs in BFSI

Soft Skills & Leadership Expectations:

• Ability to lead technical discussions with clients and internal stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
• Experience in mentoring developers and driving technical excellence across teams
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills
• Agile mindset and familiarity with Scrum/Kanban methodologies

Certifications (Must Have):

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent certifications on AWS (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect – Professional) or GCP (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect)

Preferred Background:

• Started career as a Java developer and evolved into a cloud architect
• Experience delivering solutions for financial services clients (banking, insurance, wealth management, etc.)
