Job summary

DHL is seeking a visionary Data & Analytics leader for a German-speaking market. You will lead a high-performing team, define data strategy, and partner with the German core team to align priorities.

You will architect data pipelines with Kubeflow, Python, Snowflake, and deliver Power BI dashboards; drive AI/ML readiness and maintain governance and documentation with GitLab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or BI.
• At least 3 years in a technical leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a Data & Analytics team, fostering innovation and accountability.
• Define and execute the data strategy aligned with governance objectives.
• Architect robust, scalable data pipelines and ensure data quality and security.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Data & Analytics team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Act as the primary liaison between the delivery team and the German core team, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and quality standards.
• Define and execute the data strategy in alignment with broader financial and IT governance objectives.

Data Engineering & Architecture

• Architect and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines using Kubeflow, Python, and Snowflake, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Govern end-to-end data architecture with a focus on data quality, security, compliance, and lifecycle management.
• Expertise in Requirements engineering and refinement

Analytics & Visualization

• Translate complex datasets into actionable insights through advanced Power BI dashboards and Power Automate workflows.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs, reporting standards, and analytical models that support strategic decision-making.

AI/ML Enablement & Documentation

• Drive AI/ML readiness by implementing robust data models and feature engineering pipelines.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation and version control using GitLab, promoting transparency, reproducibility, and maintainability across projects.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Kubeflow, Python, and Snowflake for data pipeline development and orchestration (minimum 3 years experience)
• Advanced skills in Power BI, and GitHub (minimum 3 years experience)
• Strong understanding of data structures, reporting standards, and domain-specific analytics.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects in a dynamic environment.
• Strategic mindset with a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving and innovation.

Working Conditions
