Job summary

CoHire in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Architect with 15+ years in IT to design scalable, secure digital banking solutions. You will own end-to-end architecture for customer-facing platforms, define standards, and drive governance across engineering and security teams.

Key focus areas include microservices, REST APIs, cloud-native patterns, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and KYC/onboarding workflows. Strong BFSI domain experience and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of overall IT experience with strong Architecture experience.
• Strong Banking / BFSI domain experience - Mandatory.
• Proven experience with Digital Products / Digital Banking / Customer-facing Digital Platforms - Mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with Digital Onboarding / Customer Onboarding / KYC / Account Opening - Mandatory.
• Strong experience in Microservices and REST APIs.
• Experience with Cloud-native architecture and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Strong knowledge of AWS / Azure / OCI or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Good understanding of Cybersecurity / Information Security architecture.
• Experience with Kafka, messaging systems and event-driven architecture.
• Strong stakeholder management and architecture governance experience.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architecture for customer-facing digital banking products and platforms.
• Define and maintain architecture standards, patterns, guidelines, and reusable reference architectures.
• Architect digital journeys including customer onboarding, KYC, account opening and related banking processes.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, Engineering and Security teams.
• Design solutions using microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, cloud and container technologies.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements for security, scalability, performance, availability and resilience.
• Drive architecture reviews, technical governance and solution/design documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams.
• Collaborate with Information Security teams on authentication, authorization, encryption, OWASP and cloud security.
