A renewable energy solutions company is looking for a Solar Inverter Technical Engineer to be responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of solar inverters. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma or B.E/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Renewable Energy and 15 years of experience in solar inverter service. Solar Inverter Technical Engineer

The Solar Inverter Technical Engineer is responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support for solar inverters (string / hybrid / off-grid / central inverters).

Key Responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of solar inverters (on-grid / hybrid / off-grid).
  • Understanding of electrical systems (AC/DC circuits, wiring, protection devices).
  • Ability to read electrical SLDs, datasheets, and system diagrams.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (RS485, Wi‑Fi, GPRS, Modbus).
  • Basic knowledge of solar PV modules, batteries (Li‑ion/Lead Acid), and BOS.
  • Computer skills (MS Office, inverter monitoring portals/software).
  • Good communication and customer‑handling skills.
  • Check solar inverter logs, thermal performance, and yield.
  • Identify system inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain service records, inverter reports, checklists, and warranty documents.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
  • Diagnose issues related to solar inverters, batteries, MPPT, communication modules, and system performance.
  • Perform repairs, part replacements, and firmware upgrades.
  • Respond to customer complaints and provide timely solutions (on‑site or remote).
  • Coordinate with OEMs/suppliers for complex technical issues.
  • Install and commission solar inverters at customer sites.
