Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc in Bengaluru seeks a senior leader to own Test & Automation for its Next-Generation Firewall technologies within the Security Business Group. You will drive feature interaction testing, regression automation, and AI-assisted SDLC adoption across OS/platform integrations.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in Networking/Security testing, strong automation skills in Python/Java, and experience with multiple virtualization and security products.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Networking/Security Domain Development & Testing experience, with proven leadership and domain expertise.
• Proficient in TCP/IP Networking, Routing Protocols, Access Control Policies, NAT, SDWAN, VPN, ZTNA, IPv6.
• Expertise in Network security (L3-L7): IPS/IDS, IPSEC, SSL/TLS.
• Experience with Routing & Switching (OSPF/BGP/EIGRP/VLAN/STP/DHCP).
• Hands-on with virtualization (ESXi, KVM, AWS, Azure, OCI).
• Experience with traffic generators, Linux/Windows, Wireshark, tcpdump.
• Familiar with Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Juniper, Fortinet products.
• Strong automation background in Python, Java, UI & API test automation.
• DevOps, CI/CD tools; AI/AI-based SDLC experience.

Your Impact

• Lead the Test & Automation charter of the new & existing functionality in the Product with deep focus on Feature Interaction, P&S, System & Solution Testing and Customer deployment focus. Accelerate Product development test cycle velocity multi-fold by fully embracing AI & Spec Driven Development model.
• Ability to focus on deep internal aspects of the feature and its integration with the OS
• Should learn new features, technologies and platforms in a relatively short amount of time
• Automate tests using FTL and Integrate them into Regression
• Work closely with customer support to provide timely resolution of problems

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Networking/Security Domain Development & Testing, proven as a Leader & Domain expert
• Proficient in TCP/IP Networking, Routing Protocols, Access Control Policies, NAT, Carrier grade NAT, SDWAN, VPN, ZTNA, Network management, IPv6
• Expertise on Network security (L3-L7 Inspection, Intrusion prevention / Intrusion detection / IPSEC and SSL / TLS)
• Experience and knowledge on - Routing & Switching (OSPF / BGP / EIGRP / VLAN / STP / DHCP / multicast)
• Should have worked in Virtual technologies (ESXi, KVM, AWS, Azure, OCI)
• Hands on experience with Legitimate and Malware Application Traffic generator tools, Linux, Windows, Packet tracer, Wireshark and tcpdump Tools
• Familiar with - Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Juniper, Fortinet products preferred
• Strong automation background on Python, Java etc.
• Should have experience in UI & API based test automation
• Experience in DevOps, Continuous integration and Continuous delivery tools are made valuable contributions.
• Above all, expertise in AI, AI Tools and AI based SDLC.
