Overview

Trintech is an award‑winning AI‑driven Fintech SaaS organization seeking a Software Test Engineer II responsible for evaluating software solutions to ensure they meet specifications and requirements before release.

What You'll Do

• Responsible for end‑to‑end testing activities.
• Develop and execute test plans manually to validate software functionality against requirements.
• Identify, troubleshoot, report, and track software defects and issues.
• Perform functional, performance, and regression testing of software products.
• Report test results and defects to the development team and other stakeholders, and work on resolution.
• Provide suggestions and feedback to improve the quality of the software development process across teams.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in software testing methodologies and tools.
• Actively participate in planning, analysis and estimation of backlog requirements.
• Engage with other departments with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and analytical skills around database, server OS, and application servers to identify root causes.
• Learn and automate test cases using automation tools; learn performance testing tools to run performance test cases.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree and 3‑5 years of related professional experience in software testing.
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Hands‑on experience with functional, systems testing including test planning, test case design, test data setup, defect management, test execution, traceability matrix, and test metrics.
• Knowledge of JIRA.
• Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases and SQL queries.
• Experience in test automation (preferably Selenium) and performance testing (LoadRunner) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration ability with all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues around product, third‑party software, and databases.
• Results‑oriented with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Preferred: Experience with reconciliation and/or month‑end close applications.
