Job summary

Cohesity, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Software QA Engineer 4 (MTS-4) with 8+ years of experience to drive quality across its SaaS platform and Data Protection products.

The role focuses on test automation, AI-driven quality engineering, and validating large-scale backup workflows. The ideal candidate will own end-to-end quality, design scalable automation frameworks, and collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and resiliency in cloud and hybrid

Qualifications

• 8+ years of QA and test automation experience.
• Experience testing SaaS products and data protection platforms.
• Hands-on with PyTest, Selenium, Playwright, or Robot Framework.
• Strong Linux, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Experience with Kubernetes, public cloud platforms, and virtualization.
• API testing, CI/CD pipelines, and system-level validation.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quality for SaaS and Data Protection features with an automation-first mindset.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, integration, and system testing.
• Leverage AI/GenAI technologies to improve test automation, coverage, defect detection, and RCA.
• Validate backup, recovery, DR, cyber resilience, and data management workflows across cloud/hybrid environments.
• Execute large-scale system testing simulating real-world enterprise deployments and workloads.
• Integrate automated validation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality feedback.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams to drive quality throughout development.
• Analyze failures, perform root cause analysis, and drive defects to closure.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote automation and quality engineering best practices.

We are looking for a highly motivated Software QA Engineer 4 (MTS-4) with 8+ years of experience to drive quality across Cohesity's SaaS platform and Data Protection products.

The ideal candidate is passionate about test automation, AI-driven quality engineering, SaaS application testing, and validating large-scale backup and recovery workflows . You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and resiliency of Cohesity's enterprise platform.

What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end quality for SaaS and Data Protection features with an automation-first mindset.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, integration, and system testing.
• Leverage AI/GenAI technologies to improve test automation, test coverage, defect detection, and root cause analysis.
• Validate backup, recovery, disaster recovery, cyber resilience, and data management workflows across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Execute large-scale system testing that simulates real-world enterprise deployments and customer workloads.
• Integrate automated validation into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous quality feedback.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams to drive quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Analyze failures, perform root cause analysis, and drive defects to closure.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to automation and quality engineering best practices.

What You Bring

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of QA and Test Automation experience .
• Strong hands-on experience on one or more automation frameworks such as PyTest, Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework, or similar .
• Proven experience building scalable automation frameworks and automated test suites.
• Strong experience testing SaaS products , distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
• Deep understanding of Backup, Recovery, Data Protection, Disaster Recovery, and Cyber Resilience domains.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM) .
• Experience with API testing, CI/CD pipelines, and system-level validation.
• Strong Linux, debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Experience using AI/GenAI tools and technologies to improve test automation and quality engineering workflows is a strong plus.

Preferred Candidate

A hands-on QA engineer with strong automation expertise, deep knowledge of SaaS and data protection platforms, and a passion for leveraging AI to improve software quality and engineering productivity.
