Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace seeks a Software Engineer II for Anthem CoE in Bengaluru. The role focuses on software architecture, design, and implementation aligned with Lean/Agile practices.

You will drive new tech development, performance optimization, and issue investigations while mentoring junior engineers. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in mission-critical software, embedded C++, and OO development, with familiarity of DO-178C and firmware/driver development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering as listed above.
• 2+ years of experience in mission-critical software applications.
• Experience in SW architecture design and embedded C++ coding.
• Object-oriented development experience.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle (DO-178C preferred).
• Firmware and driver development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop software architecture, design and implementation per Lean/ Agile program.
• Perform new technology development including GPU/CPU/Memory performance optimization.
• Provide investigation support for integration/field issues and participate in design reviews.
• Mentor junior team members and act as a problem solver.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for incubation of new technologies.

Responsibilities

• The role is required to develop software architecture, design and implementation in line with FCI development and Lean/Agile program execution.
• New technology development through application development, graphics trade‑off analysis, GPU/CPU/Memory performance/optimization initiatives.
• Provide investigation support for integration/field issues. Participates in design reviews and technical decision making.
• Mentor the junior members in the team and be seen as a problem solver.
• Collaborates/ actively networks with stakeholders for new technologies/ideas incubation/information.

Qualifications

• B.E / B. Tech / M.E / M. Tech in Electric/Electronics/Computers/Aerospace Engineering
• 2+ years of experience working various application areas supporting mission critical functions/programs.
• SW architecture design and embedded C++ coding
• Object oriented development experience
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle (DO-178C preferred)
• Creating test cases for software based upon use cases derived from the system and software requirements
• Object oriented development experience
• Firmware & driver development experience preferred.

Multithreading/Multicore processing preferred
