Job summary

Fujitsu Research India Private Limited seeks a Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team focused on Agentic AI and intelligent software platforms. You will drive design, development, and delivery of AI-powered solutions and optimize performance across modern compute environments.

The role requires deep expertise in Generative AI, LLMs, and AI architectures, plus hands-on experience with PyTorch, LangChain, and ONNX Runtime. Strong leadership and Agile mentoring are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML, or related field.
• 10+ years in software engineering across systems, platform, or product development.
• 2+ years leading teams delivering AI products or solutions.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, multimodal AI, and AI architectures.
• Experience with AI frameworks and serving stacks such as PyTorch, LangChain, OpenVINO, vLLM, SGLang, ONNX Runtime, or similar.
• Experience building, deploying, and optimizing AI applications and platforms.
• Familiarity with quantization, fine-tuning, model compression, and inference optimization techniques.

Job Title: Software Engineering Manager

Role Purpose

A software engineering manager oversees the design and development of software applications and develops high-performance software solutions optimized for Fujitsu's next-generation processor technologies, which help solve real-world challenges facing society and businesses across different industries.

The Software Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs and ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met for developing innovative advanced solutions and services to support business outcomes.

Experience

You will be able to demonstrate that you have:

• Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience in systems, platform, or product development.
• 2+ years of experience leading teams delivering AI products or solutions.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, multimodal AI, and AI application architectures.
• Experience with AI frameworks and serving stacks such as PyTorch, Langchain, OpenVINO, vLLM, SGLang, ONNX Runtime, or similar.
• Experience building, deploying, and optimizing AI applications and platforms.
• Familiarity with quantization, fine-tuning, model compression, and inference optimization techniques.
• Understanding of retrieval, orchestration, tool integration, and agent-based workflows.
• Experience with open-source software, Agile development, and engineering best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

Preferred Experience

You will be able to demonstrate that you have:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, including containers, virtualization, and CI/CD.
• Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++.
• Experience with HPC, distributed computing, or large-scale AI infrastructure.
• Experience in performance tuning, scalability, and software security.
• Knowledge of modern AI ecosystems, agent frameworks, and deployment technologies is a plus.
