Evernorth is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a Hyderabad-based Data Quality team within the Data and Analytics organization. You will drive data quality rules, observability, and CI/CD integration while mentoring engineers across time zones.

The role emphasizes balancing hands-on data work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring delivery excellence and strong governance across data pipelines.

Qualifications

• 11-15 years of experience in data management, data analysis, data profiling, and statistical techniques.
• 5+ years of experience managing the Data engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with Data Quality tool.
• Strong understanding of Collibra DI views, glossary hierarchies, and governance workflows.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL across multiple databases.

Responsibilities

• Data Quality & Observability Delivery: design, build, and maintain data quality rules, checks, and controls across critical data pipelines and domains.
• Lead implementation and expansion of data observability capabilities, including monitoring, alerting, and issue triage.
• Partner with engineering and platform teams to embed data quality and observability into pipelines and CI/CD processes.
• Perform root cause analysis for data quality incidents and remediation with upstream/downstream teams.
• Contribute to backlog items, technical designs, and solution reviews with the team.
• Team Leadership & People Management: mentor Hyderabad-based Data Quality team members and manage sprint planning and delivery accountability.
• Foster technical capability, accountability, and ownership; support performance management and skill development.
