Job summary

Cisco Systems (India) Private Limited, Bengaluru, is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer for the Wireless Platform team. You will design, develop, and validate wireless features across the full stack, owning implementation and test automation to ensure high-quality system behavior.

You will design end-to-end wireless features across AP, controller, and management layers, own feature validation, and debug complex issues spanning firmware, networking, and system layers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in wireless or networking software.
• Strong coding skills in C/C++ and Python.
• Solid understanding of 802.11 protocols and system behavior.
• Experience with wireless security (WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X).
• Experience in Wireless Access point Drivers and Firmware.
• Experience with test automation and system validation.
• Ability to own features end-to-end (development + testing).

Meet the Team

The Cisco Wireless Platform team builds the foundational embedded software that powers Cisco’s wireless products. We work closely with hardware, system architecture, test, and product teams to bring up new platforms, enable core subsystems, and deliver reliable, high-performance software at scale. Our work spans platform bring-up, low-level software development, system integration, and product readiness for enterprise wireless solutions.

Your Impact

• You will design, develop, and validate wireless features across the full stack, owning both implementation and test automation to ensure high-quality system behavior.
