Job summary

Infor is seeking a Senior Principal Software Engineer in Hyderabad to drive architecture, design, and delivery of scalable, secure software. You will lead architectural reviews, mentor engineers, and collaborate across product teams to align technical direction with business goals.

You will help define blueprints, champion best practices, and ensure solutions meet SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR standards while leveraging AI/ML capabilities for documents and semantic search.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native design patterns.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience designing APIs (REST/gRPC) and integration patterns.
• Solid data storage and data modeling understanding.
• Familiarity with observability (logging/metrics/tracing).
• Exposure to AI/ML like OCR and semantic search.

As a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Infor, you will be a strategic technical leader in the design, architecture, and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing software solutions. • Be a technical architect and hands-on contributor for complex, enterprise-scale software systems across multiple product lines.
• Define and promote architectural blueprints, patterns, and standards to improve consistency, quality, and time-to-market.
• Collaborate with product management, UX, DevOps, and customer success teams to align technical direction with business priorities.
• Provide technical mentorship and leadership to cross-functional engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to maintain Infor’s competitive edge.
• Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development in collaboration with engineering and executive leadership.
• Lead architectural reviews, performance tuning, and code quality initiatives.
• Ensure solutions are cloud-native, secure, scalable, and adhere to compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.

Basic Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and backend service architecture
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures
• Extensive experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native design patterns
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, container orchestration, and deployment automation
• Strong experience with API design (REST/gRPC) and system integration patterns
• Solid understanding of data storage technologies (relational and NoSQL) and data modeling
• Experience with messaging and streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka or equivalent)
• Familiarity with enterprise document management and content processing systems
• Knowledge of observability practices including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing
• Exposure to AI/ML applications such as OCR, document classification, and semantic search
• Strong problem-solving, system design, and technical decision-making skills
• Ability to influence architecture and engineering direction across teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Infor CloudSuite, ION, or Mongoose Framework.
• Experience designing data-intensive applications using modern data architectures.
• Open-source projects or published technical articles/conference talks.
