We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join the VAS Innovation team. As a key member, you will develop cutting‑edge solutions, leverage innovative technologies, and enhance the capabilities of our Value‑Added Services (VAS) platform.
Essential Functions
- Engage in the design, development, and implementation of innovative software solutions, including generative AI and modern integration patterns.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and deliver complex projects that integrate emerging technologies with existing platforms.

- Develop client‑centric solutions, ensuring the VAS platform delivers exceptional value and innovation.
- Design and develop APIs that enhance integration of VAS applications, platforms, and solutions.
- Participate in the modernization roadmap by adopting best‑in‑class technology solutions for our core platform.
- Continuously assess and improve technology stacks, development processes, and methodologies to enhance productivity, quality, and time‑to‑market.
- Adhere to industry best practices in software development, emphasizing quality, security, performance, scalability, availability, and resilience.
- Implement best engineering practices and automate software development, testing, and deployment processes.
- Support incident, change, and problem management processes to ensure system availability and reliability.
This is a hybrid position; days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 5 years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years with a PhD.
- Proficient in Java and Python; knowledge of C++ and C# is a bonus.
- Experience in building Generative AI applications, conversational AI, and RAG architectures.
- In-depth understanding of NLP, tokenization, word embeddings, and basic sequence models.
- Proficiency in implementing and fine‑tuning AI models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit‑learn.
- Understanding of model compression techniques, transfer learning concepts, and AI robustness issues.
- Exposure to Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Stream Computing, and MLOps.
- Proficiency in front‑end web development (ReactJS, Angular, NodeJS).
- Experience with large datasets, exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
- Experience configuring build and deployment systems: Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes.
- Expertise in multi‑threading, concurrency, error‑handling, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and best practices for ML model deployment.
- Experience with OAuth2.0, SSO, and authentication protocols.
- Security fundamentals: application security, SSDLC, and cryptography basics.
- Payments technology industry experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- 9+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 7+ years with an Advanced Degree (Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3+ years with a PhD.
- Advanced expertise in deep learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers), reinforcement learning, generative models (GANs, VAEs), and advanced NLP techniques (zero‑shot, few‑shot learning).
- Experience implementing efficient deep learning techniques: model pruning, quantization, knowledge distillation, and parameter‑efficient fine‑tuning (LoRA, adapter layers).
- Deep knowledge of transfer learning, domain adaptation, and continuous learning strategies.
- Ability to design robust AI systems that handle distribution shifts and adversarial attacks.
- Leadership experience in cross‑functional AI teams and communicating complex AI concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of distributed in‑memory technologies (Redis) and enterprise security (certificate management).
- Hands‑on experience with Jenkins, container deployment architecture, and container orchestration.
- Proven track record of leading AI projects from conception to deployment.
