Job summary

TraceLink is seeking an experienced full-time Senior Software Engineer to join our team to work on our Analytics products. You will design, develop, and maintain cloud-based Analytics applications on our Kubernetes (AWS EKS) hosted platform, within the Life Sciences / Pharma supply chain domain.

You will contribute to backend, server-centric components, providing architectural input and guiding projects from inception to delivery in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with writing SQL queries.
• Expertise in Java /JavaScript.
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud Data storage and processing services including S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, RDS, Elastic Search, Kafka/Kinesis, SQS, and SNS.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture, and containerization using Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous messaging.
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals, specifically in Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Analytical thinking and collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Experience working in an Agile environment with teams distributed across the US and India.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop Analytics solutions that help clients optimize their supply chain operations and adhere to compliance regulations.
• Provide architectural input for software development efforts using web applications, relational DBs, security, and cloud services.
• Provide high-level analysis and design reviews to apply appropriate technologies and architecture.
• Ensure design, structure, and content meet performance guidelines.
• Collaborate with Domain experts, Data scientists, Architects, Product managers, and Product Engineers to design and implement Analytics products.
• Size complex stories or epics incorporating interdependent deliverables and resources.
• Help keep a project on track from start to finish across multiple stories.
• Explain downstream implications of decisions to peers.
• Contribute to product strategy and roadmap.
• Write clean, high performance, scalable code across frameworks and languages.
• Work in fast-paced Agile teams and adapt to new tools and technologies.
• Coordinate with QA to plan tests and participate in test executions.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.

As part of our Engineering organization, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge cloud-based Analytics applications, running in our sophisticated, Kubernetes (AWS EKS) hosted, RxJava/Vert.x cloud platform, the Digital Network Platform (OPUS). All of this within the Life Sciences / Pharma supply chain domain. In this senior role, you will be responsible for back-end, server-centric components and will provide critical architectural input, guiding projects from start to finish within the application development process.

Responsibilities

• Develop Analytics solutions that will help clients optimize their supply chain operations and adhere to compliance regulations.
• Provide architectural input for software development efforts utilizing a thorough understanding of various technologies such as web applications, relational databases, information security, and cloud-based services.
• Provide high-level analysis and design reviews to apply appropriate technologies and architecture to solve conceptual problems.
• Ensure design, structure, and content meet performance guidelines.
• Work closely with Domain experts, Data scientists, Architects, Product managers, and Product Engineers to design and implement Analytics products.
• Size complex stories or epics incorporating interdependent deliverables and resources.
• Help keep a project that may span several user stories on track from start to finish.
• Help peers understand downstream implications of decisions.
• Act as a proactive contributor in helping to inform product strategy and roadmap.
