Allstate India is seeking a Software Engineer Senior Consultant to design and own digital products with focus on Guidewire Claim Center and Contact Manager. You will implement production-quality software and drive KPI-based success across platforms, collaborating with product managers and cross-functional teams.

The role involves inceptions, planning, mentoring peers, and establishing CI/CD pipelines, while leveraging modern tech stacks to deliver reliable software in production environments.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of software development experience.
• Strong experience in Guidewire Claim Center and Contact Manager is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; Guidewire Ace Certification mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Participate in inception and iteration planning with technical input with product managers.
• Collaborate across portfolios to align strategy with product managers and stakeholders.
• Serve as domain expert and advocate of multiple tech stacks.
• Lead daily standups within and across sites and product teams.
• Facilitate retrospectives and promote empathetic feedback among participants.
• Provide production support for software products in user environments.
• Coach teams on paired programming and test-driven development practices.

Job Description

The Software Engineer Senior Consultant architects and designs their digital products using modern tools, technologies, frameworks, and systems. They apply a systematic application of scientific and technological knowledge, methods, and experience to the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of software. They own and manage running their application in production, and ultimately becomes accountable for the success of their digital products through achieving KPIs.

Primary work is development and production support of a GuideWire Claim Center and Contact Manager product. As such GW Claim Center skill is essential

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in inceptions and iteration planning meetings, infusing backlogs with technical input working in close partnership with the product manager
• Partners in collaboration and strategy alignment across product portfolios (cross-product) in partnership with product managers, other peers and key stakeholders
• Serves as an expert on one or more business domain and a distinguished advocate of multiple technology stacks and shares that knowledge across organizations
• Leads and participates in daily site, cross-site, and product team standups
• Leads and participates in retrospectives; demonstrating and encouraging each participant to provide feedback with empathy
• Provides support for software products in user environments
• Coaches the team and leads daily practices of using paired programming and test-driven development in writing software and building products
• Establishes continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices

Education

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
• Guidewire Developer Training and Certification at Ace Level is required
