Job summary

Black Duck Software, Inc. is seeking a test automation professional to oversee the software testing lifecycle and collaborate with development teams to implement robust automation strategies.

The role emphasizes hands-on automation using Selenium, Cypress, and TestNG, with Java or JavaScript/TypeScript expertise. Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD is desirable.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/MCA degree required.
• 1-2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and TestNG.
• Proficiency in Java or JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Strong background in Agile development and CI/CD (Jenkins).
• Familiarity with services/API testing and automation and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the testing lifecycle including test planning, design, execution and closure.
• Collaborate with development teams and Product Managers to define testing strategies.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for CI/CD pipelines.
• Triage and maintain automation pipelines to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Continuously evolve testing methodologies to stay ahead of new technologies.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the development lifecycle: Requirements Analysis, Test Planning, Test Design, Test Execution, and Test Closure.
• Collaborate closely with development teams and Product Managers to define and implement comprehensive testing strategies.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Triage and maintain automation pipelines using Selenium and Cypress to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Continuously innovate and evolve testing methodologies to stay ahead of new technologies and practices.

Skills Required

• A BE/BTech/MCA degree holder with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
• Hands‑on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, and TestNG.
• Proficiency in programming languages for test automation such as Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with any one public cloud technology (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Good background in Agile development and delivery.
• Experience in services/API testing and automation.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD (Jenkins), Git, JIRA, and Confluence
