Job summary

NatWest Group in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Software Engineer at AVP level to design, develop and maintain high-performance software solutions for customers. You’ll work within a feature team, collaborate with engineers, architects and analysts, and drive automation and CI/CD practices.

The role requires strong .NET/C# experience, Azure, UI automation with Playwright or Selenium, API automation, and solid CI/CD implementation. 8+ years in software engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of software engineering experience with focus on design, architecture and customer value.
• Proficiency in .NET, C#, and Azure.
• Experience with UI automation using Playwright or Selenium in C#.
• Experience in API automation testing using C#, RestSharp, HttpClient.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

Responsibilities

• Engineer and maintain innovative, high-performance software solutions within a feature team.
• Participate in full life cycle: development, enhancement, maintenance, decommissioning.
• Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks from scratch.

What you'll do

In your new role, you’ll engineer and maintain innovative, customer centric, high performance, secure and robust solutions. You’ll be working within a feature team and using your extensive experience to engineer software, scripts and tools that are often complex, as well as liaising with other engineers, architects and business analysts across the platform.

You’ll also be:

• Producing complex and critical software rapidly and of high quality which adds value to the business
• Working in permanent teams who are responsible for the full life cycle, from initial development, through enhancement and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch
• Designing, producing, testing and implementing our working code
• Working across the life cycle, from requirements analysis and design, through coding to testing, deployment and operations

The skills you’ll need

You’ll need at least eight years of experience in software engineering, software design, architecture, and an understanding of how your area of expertise supports our customers.

You’ll also need:

• Experience with .NET, C# development and Azure
• Experience in UI automation using Playwright, Selenium, or similar automation frameworks with C#
• Experience in API automation testing using C#, RestSharp, HttpClient, or equivalent tools and libraries
• Understanding of software testing principles, test design techniques, and quality engineering practices
• Experience in creating, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions and Jenkins
