Job Description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Software Engineer with expertise in PL/SQL and Java to join our development team in Pune, India. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust database-driven applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for writing efficient code, optimizing database performance, and ensuring adherence to best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Develop and maintain applications using Java and PL/SQL, ensuring code quality and adherence to coding standards
• Design and optimize database schemas, stored procedures, and complex SQL queries for performance and scalability
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and efficient software solutions

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in PL/SQL with demonstrated experience in database development and query optimization
• Strong Java programming skills with solid understanding of object‑oriented programming principles
• Experience with relational database design, management, and SQL development
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices
• Experience with code testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience with Oracle databases or other enterprise database systems
• Familiarity with Spring Framework or other Java frameworks
• Knowledge of RESTful API development and integration
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools
• Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Experience with performance tuning and database optimization techniques
• Familiarity with software architecture patterns and design principles
