Job summary

Morningstar in Mumbai seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement features for scalable cloud-native products using Azure and the .NET stack. You will collaborate with product owners, analysts, and QA to deliver high-quality solutions, while ensuring code quality and adherence to architectural guidelines.

You will contribute to performance optimizations, participate in Agile ceremonies, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation as you grow with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 2-4 years of software development experience.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications using Azure.
• Proficiency in creating APIs using .NET Framework or .NET Core and REST.
• Knowledge of relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL databases (Cosmos, Raven) is a plus.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks like Vue, React, or Angular is advantageous.
• Understanding of TDD and adherence to SOLID, plus CI/CD practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with 2-4 years of professional experience in software development.
• Experience in developing cloud-native applications using Azure.
• Proficiency in creating APIs using .NET Framework or .NET Core, with a strong understanding of REST principles.
• Knowledge of relational databases (SQL) and familiarity with non-relational databases (e.g., Raven, Cosmos) is a plus.
• Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks like Vue, React, or Angular is advantageous.
• Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and adherence to SOLID principles.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating them into development workflows.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile environments, particularly Scrum.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering clean and maintainable code.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative mindset.
