Job summary

Point72 is seeking a Software Engineer for Middle Office Systems in Bengaluru. You will build software for fund accounting and trade processing, collaborating with stakeholders using agile methods and test-driven development.

Expect responsibility for upgrades, resiliency, automation, and cloud transitions while shaping core platform architecture with AI tools. You will work with DevOps practices and modern tech stacks to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience with a focus on Java based technologies.
• Knowledge of financial products including fixed income, credit, equities, and derivatives and associated accounting, settlement, affirmation processing
• Strong SQL development and experience developing large-scale data warehouses.
• Experience with building micro services, Kubernetes based platforms, and AWS.
• Experience designing and building interactive web interfaces using Angular/React
• Experience with building and consuming RESTful services
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB)
• Understanding of agile methodologies
• Familiarity Agentic AI frameworks

Responsibilities

• Build software applications and deliver software enhancements and projects supporting fund accounting and trade processing technology.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to develop software solutions using test-driven and agile software development methodologies.
• Be responsible for system upgrades and features supporting resiliency and capacity improvements, automation and controls, and integration with internal and external vendors and services.
• Driving architecture of core platforms and accelerating modernizing leveraging AI tools.
• Work with DevOps teams to manage and resolve operational issues and leverage CI/CD platforms while following DevOps practices within the team and projects.
• Continuously improve the platforms using the latest technologies and software development ideas.
• Participate in initiatives to transition select applications to cloud platforms, enhancing stability, scalability and performance of the existing platform.
• Develop close working relationships and collaborate with other technology teams to deliver cross-departmental initiatives.

• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB)
• Familiarity Agentic AI frameworks
• Experience with building micro services, Kubernetes based platforms, and AWS.
• Strong Experience in Java
• Experience designing and building interactive web interfaces using Angular/React
• Experience working with industry-known prime broker reconciliation software.
