Job summary

Mastercard in Pune seeks a Software Engineer (Mainframe Testing) to join a core payments testing team. You will plan and execute test scripts for mainframe changes, build regression suites, and drive automation using Selenium and CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate across groups to ensure high quality releases and compliance.

Ideal candidates have 2-6 years in IT, strong COBOL/DB2/CICS skills, and a proactive mindset to improve testing processes in a fast-paced payments environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 2–6 years of IT experience with hands-on mainframe testing.
• Experience in Batch and online testing (Mainframe preferable).
• Experience in CI and CD and automation tooling.

Overview

• Core Payments of MasterCard is involved in developing Authorization, Clearing, Debit and other major functionalities for MasterCard. Analyze and create cutting edge solutions for Core Payments teams. Proficient with COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL,PROC,Microfocus COBOL, TWS Scheduler and DB2 LUW.
• Hands on Experience with MainframeTesting
• Knowledge on Payments Domain
• Knowledge on Automation Tools
• Coordinate with other groups including vendors to ensure success of the project.
• Aware of various Testing methodologies
• Coordinate with other groups including vendors and other groups within MasterCard to ensure success of the project.
• Have you worked in a full lifecycle development project and used various Testing methodologies including Agile.
• Do you have an understanding of Payment and Cards industry?
• Are you a technical Subject Matter Expert who can guide young talent?

Role

• Test planning & Test execution of software changes which are high on performance and meets business requirements.
• Maintain and present project related metrics reporting for management review
• Automation of Regression test suite , redundant tasks and Test data generation
• Handle coordination between teams based in various locations

All About You

• Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience (Must)
• Must have 2-6 years of experience in IT industry and should have hands on experience on the below listed skillset.
• Experience in Batch and online Testing(Mainframe preferable)
• Experience in CI and CD
• Involved and spearhead quality initiatives
• Automation experience on BDD framework,Selenium ,any of the AI tools
• Strong Communicator.
• Should have worked on the STLC Corporate Security Responsibility
