Job summary

gevernova is seeking a software engineer to design, build, and maintain software applications and services across cloud, platform, and application layers. You will participate in SDLC processes, contribute to documentation, and ensure performance and scalability of solutions.

The role requires strong Java expertise (11+), React/Angular skills, and hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java (11+) and modern frontend frameworks (React/Angular).
• Experience building RESTful APIs and enterprise apps with Spring Boot.
• Experience with relational databases (RDS) and caching (Redis).
• Containerization with Docker and deployment orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Hands-on with AWS services, especially EKS, and CI/CD pipelines.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Have awareness of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
• Ability to write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
• Understand performance parameters and can assess application performance.
• Understand core data structures and algorithms and has the ability to implement them using language of choice.

Must have :

• Strong proficiency in Java (version 11 or higher preferred) and React / Angular.
• In-depth experience building RESTful APIs and enterprise applications using Spring Boot.
• Experience managing relational databases (RDS) and implementing high-performance caching layers using Redis.
• Proven ability to containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments via Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Services, specifically EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, unit testing frameworks (JUnit/Mockito), and API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI).

Good to have :

• Working knowledge of Python
• Familiar with Agentic AI Framework, RabbitMQ / ActiveMQ
• Familiarity with Machine Learning concepts, frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch), and integrating ML models into production environments.

Education Qualification

For roles outside USA:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with basic experience.

Desired Characteristics Technical Expertise:

Comfortable in building features such as web services and Queries on existing tables.

Aware of methods and practices such as Lean/Agile/XP, etc.

Prior work experience in an agile environment, or introductory training on Lean/Agile. Aware of and able to apply continuous integration (CI).

General understanding of the impacts of technology choice to the software development life cycle.
