Job summary

Candescent is seeking a senior Java software engineer to help transform financial institutions' digital experiences. You will design and build scalable microservices, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to cloud-based platforms.

Ideal candidates have 9+ years of Java development, strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and modern Java ecosystems, and experience with Spring Boot, cloud services, and DevOps tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 9+ years of experience in software development using Java.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and concurrent programming.
• Experience with microservices architecture, Java EE, Spring Boot, Spring, Cloud, Hibernate, Oracle, PostgreSQL, BigTable, BigQuery, NoSQL, Git, Pub/Sub, Data Flow, AI development tools.
• Experience in native and hybrid cloud environments like GCP, AWS and Agile development.
• Proficient in Java, multi-tenant cloud technologies, and tools like Jira.
• Skilled in translating user stories into scalable, user-centric solutions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
• Analytical problem-solver with attention to detail and structured thinking.
• Experience with Java IDEs (Eclipse, IntelliJ, AI tools), application servers (Tomcat), scripting languages (JSON, XML, YAML, Terraform), Git, Maven, Devops, LINUX.
• Build and Deployment Pipeline technologies: Docker, Nexus, Kubernetes.
