Job summary

The ePlane Company in Chennai is seeking a software developer to build and maintain internal platform services that empower engineers across the organization. You will work on internal tools and accelerate deployment of engineering tools in collaboration with ML, Optimization, and Simulation teams.

Key responsibilities include designing high-performance backend services, developing low-latency, correct software, and creating prototypes for rapid experimentation while participating in code

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience in C++, Rust, Python, or Java.
• Solid data structures and algorithms knowledge.
• Fundamentals of systems design.

Responsibilities

• Build, scale, and maintain high-performance internal platform services and engineering tools.
• Develop software that balances low latency with high correctness.
• Create prototypes and production-ready tools for rapid experimentation and internal operations.
• Contribute to design of new features and system enhancements from concept to deployment.
• Develop algorithms for engineering simulations, fleet management, and internal tooling.
• Develop robust deployment pipelines for ML/Optimization/Simulation teams.
• Diagnose and resolve critical issues and bottlenecks; identify root causes.
• Conduct robust unit/integration testing; participate in code reviews.

Chart the Course for the Future of Flight

We are looking for a software developer where you will develop, build, and maintain the internal platform services that empower engineers across the organization to work more efficiently. As part of this role, you will work on internal engineering tools and other tools that enable operations for the next generation of mobility while working on accelerating the development and deployment of novel engineering tools for which you will play a crucial role in the development, testing, and deployment of these tools working in partnership with our internal Machine Learning, Optimization, and Simulation teams

Roles and Responsibilities

• Build, scale, and maintain high-performance internal platform services and engineering tools that empower cross-functional teams to work more efficiently.

• Develop Software that can solve messy problems at the intersection of low latency and high correctness

• Create prototypes and production-ready tools to support rapid experimentation and internal operations.

• Contribute to the design of new features and system enhancements from conceptualization to end deployment

• Develop algorithms solving problems relating to engineering simulations, fleet management, and internal tooling

• Develop robust deployment pipelines and packaging solutions to operationalize work from Machine Learning, Optimization, and Simulation teams.

• Diagnose and resolve critical technical issues and system bottlenecks, identifying root causes

• Conduct robust unit/integration testing strategies for developed code

• Be a part of code reviews and provide feedback to ensure best practices

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Software development in C++/Rust/Python/Java
• Development and understanding of Data structures and algorithms
• Fundamentals of Systems Design
• Experience working with databases and distributed systems, with an understanding of performance and reliability trade-offs
• Understanding of concepts in memory management, messaging systems
• Understanding of writing unit tests, and software testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Foundational background in parallel programming concepts across CPU and GPU systems
• Experience building and operating high-throughput, low-latency backend services
• Experience with geospatial data, location-based services, or real-time data serving systems.
