Job summary

Google LLC in Bengaluru is seeking a Share Software Engineer III in Security/Privacy to help design and build secure, scalable systems. The role involves contributing to core security features and collaborating across teams to protect user data.

You will work on cloud security, IAM, and privacy technologies, participate in design reviews, write clean code, and ensure performance and reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• Experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., C++, Golang).
• Experience with software development including design, coding, testing, and debugging.
• Experience with cloud security, cloud Identity, cybersecurity or distributed computing, and cloud security concepts and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

• Familiarity with cloud technologies and runtimes (e.g., k8s, Cloud Run, Load Balancers).
