As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market‑leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Review business requirements and use BDD to create clear, testable scenarios.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, UX Designers, Developers, and global teams.
  • Build, automate, and integrate test suites—including API tests—into CI / CD pipelines.
  • Use cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for testing and deployment.
  • Perform manual and exploratory testing to complement automation.
  • Use Git for code reviews, branching, and tracking code quality.
  • Track and report bugs clearly using tools like JIRA.
  • Prioritize and run regression tests based on risk.
  • Read application code to help with debugging and writing tests.
  • Foster excellence, innovation, and ongoing improvement in quality assurance practices.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience

  • Hands‑on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Proficient in automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright) and scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript).
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Experience in working with CI / CD pipelines such as AWS CodePipeline and Jenkins.
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Familiarity with modern front‑end technologies

  • ISEB or ISTQB certification.
