Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. Bengaluru is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Commercial & Investment Bank Payments Technology team. You will be an experienced member of an agile team, designing and delivering reliable, secure, scalable technology products.

Focus areas include producing secure production code, contributing to architecture and data visualizations, and leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve quality, speed, and security across complex financial systems.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and microservices architecture, MQ, Kafka
• Selenium knowledge and experience to automate work on testing scripts. Good understanding of Database, Hands on web services and PL/SQL, Oracle (DB DDL, DML, SP).
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.
